Terms and conditions

The seller is HALO SOLAR LIGHTS PTY LTD, registration number 2026/662813/07, trading as ReverseOsmosisShop.co.za, at 53 Tarentaal Road, Joostenberg Vlakte, Western Cape, South Africa. Contact: admin@reverseosmosisshop.co.za or +27 83 255 5812.

All prices are the full price you pay. We are not VAT registered, so no VAT is charged. Prices are in South African rand, and the price that applies is the one shown when you place your order, confirmed on our call.

Delivery is charged separately per area, as shown at checkout, one fee per order (see Delivery below). Products marked “price on request” are quoted individually.

If a price on the site is clearly wrong, we will tell you before accepting the order and you may cancel at no cost.

An order placed on the site is an offer to buy. We call or WhatsApp you within 24 hours to confirm stock, the delivery date and the delivery cost. The agreement is concluded when we confirm your order on that call or in writing.

Orders can only be placed for delivery to an area in our delivery list. If you give an area outside it, we treat your order as a quote request.

We may decline an order before confirming it, for example if an item is out of stock, and nothing is then owed by either side.

You choose at checkout between EFT, cash on delivery or card machine on delivery. There is no deposit and no online card payment.

EFT: pay the full order amount to the bank account shown on your order confirmation page and in your confirmation email, using your order number as the payment reference. EFT orders are dispatched only once the funds have cleared in our account; a proof of payment on its own does not release an order.

Cash or card machine: full payment to our driver when the system is delivered.

Ownership of the goods passes to you when we have received full payment. Risk passes to you on delivery.

We deliver within the Western Cape only, to the areas in our delivery list, from Joostenberg Vlakte. Free delivery in the Northern Suburbs for domestic and commercial systems; elsewhere the area fee shown at checkout applies. Distant areas are sent by courier or quoted separately, and we confirm that cost with you before dispatch.

Delivery dates are agreed on our confirmation call and are estimates. Please have someone available to receive and check the goods. Our Shipping & Returns page has the detail, including what happens if a delivery fails.

You may cancel an order free of charge at any time before it is dispatched by calling, WhatsApping or emailing us with your order number. Any EFT already paid is refunded in full.

After delivery you may return an unused system within 7 days as described on our Shipping & Returns page. Faulty goods are handled under our Warranty page.

These pages form part of these terms. Nothing in them limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act.

The price of a system never includes installation. Professional installation available in Cape Town and up to 50 km — quoted separately for your site. Installation outside our area on request. An installation quote is a separate agreement from the purchase of the system: it is priced for your site after we have confirmed the requirements with you, and it is invoiced separately.

You are free to install the system yourself or to use your own installer. We are not responsible for the workmanship, timing or advice of an installer we did not supply.

Reverse osmosis reduces dissolved salts and many dissolved contaminants; performance depends on your feed water, pressure, temperature, the membrane and maintenance. Sizing suggestions from our water check and our advice are given in good faith from the information you provide, and we confirm every recommendation with you before you buy. Problem water, such as borehole or brackish water, should be tested before you choose a system.

We are liable for the goods we supply as the law requires, including under the Consumer Protection Act. Beyond that, and to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss caused by installation, modification or use that does not follow the system’s documentation. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

If something goes wrong, contact us first at admin@reverseosmosisshop.co.za with your order number; we will try to resolve it directly with you. You may also approach the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud or the National Consumer Commission.

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction.
